Having started her career as an executive with Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana in New York City, she brings a deep understanding of branding, merchandising and special consumer experience strategy, and a high level of sophistication into the interiors that she creates.

Since founding her company in 2007, Seyie’s body of work has grown internationally to include retail, high-end salons and spas, boutique bakeries, event lounges and private residences. Seyie was Fendi Casa’s Designer of the Month, the exclusive designer for the 54th and 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards® Official Talent Gift Lounge, and has been featured in TIME, LUCKY, Vogue, Elle, and DDI Magazine, among others. She has also been named by Vogue India as one of “the new women of interiors.” She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Clark University and graduated from UCLA Extension’s Professional Interior Design program.

Fashionable, creative, international.

2. Tell us why you’re awesome in two sentences or less.

Because I try to enhance people’s lives through places Seyie Design creates, whether it is a home they enjoy spending time in, or a store where shopping becomes a memorable experience.

3. What are your three biggest indulgences?

Ice cream, french fries and fine china with a fanciful design (Philippe Deshoulieres’ Pergola pattern).

An unmade bed!

Steve Jobs, for his ability to constantly innovate and create one of the world’s most powerful brands. I would love to hear words of wisdom from him!

8. What does it mean to you to have a strong, engaging brand and how has having one helped you?

It’s about having clarity of who you are and who you want to work with. Having that realization helped me focus better on my business and being more strategic in where to invest my time and resources.

9. What is your #1 tip for fellow women entrepreneurs?

Don’t be afraid to go after that big dream client, as long as you’re prepared for it. I have been pleasantly surprised with the responses I have received, and incredible opportunities that opened up, after I decided to not put limits on myself.
