Does your favorite mom really need another candle? (I can assure you the answer is, “probably not.”) And flowers are lovely, but you’ve sent them before, yes?
I’ve got a few gift ideas for you that will brighten her day and arrive just in time for Sunday May 12th (please note that you may have to select priority shipping at this point, but hey, she’s worth it.)
Let her know who’s boss.
You can get this Girl Boss mug directly through Amazon Prime and this one, too. Or you may prefer this one on Etsy. I also really like this slightly larger Boss Lady mug with gold accents.
Keep her glowing.
I love this power duo from natural skincare wizard, Tata Harper. Use the Regenerating Cleanser and Resurfacing Mask together to create a clear, dewy glow. The trick is to massage a generous amount of the Regenerating Cleanser all over your face – leave it on – and put a thick layer of the Resurfacing Mask on top of it. Leave on for 20-30 minutes and then rinse. Voilà! Radiant skin in less than 30 minutes.
Another fan favorite is the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask. Everyone seems to love the original best – including me, but they recently came out with the R + R Mask, and it’s supposed to be a winner too, by whisking away dead skin cells with essential oils and wild rose powder (it’s on my “must try soon” list)
Adorn her in gold (and don’t break the bank!)
Let’s face it: what woman doesn’t feel special when gifted with a new piece of jewelry. These pieces I love won’t pinch your pocketbook.
I’ve been wearing these gold bracelets from Roxanne Assoulin for more than a year now – in fact, I feel naked without them on my wrist. I love that they have a little bit of stretch to them – and the chevron-style stack looks particularly chic paired with other bracelets. You can either buy a single one – or a more dramatic set of three or five at a slightly better price.
You can also stay completely “on-brand” for Mother’s Day and give her this mama necklace from Bing Bang NYC. I’m also a fan of their sweet, small earrings like these baby heart studs and these tiny initial studs. If she has multiple ear piercings, you can spell out her initials, or the first letter of each of her children’s names.
Adorn her coffee table, too.
Recently departed from Vogue, Fashion Editor Tonne Goodman has a new style tome out, Point of View, that I can’t wait to get my hands on. Designer Jenni Kayne also just released her bible on entertaining and living well, Pacific Natural.
Other good lifestyle and entertaining options include Reese Witherspoon’s Whiskey in a Teacup and Kate Spade’s All in Good Taste.
When in doubt, give her the art of the personal touch.
In our digital world, there’s nothing like receiving a beautiful hand-written note. Give her a head start with these letterpressed gold heart note cards from Sugar Paper. Or perhaps she would appreciate their XOXO version.
I am also particularly fond of these Kate Spade This is Not a Text note cards, along with her Merci cards. Both are available through Amazon Prime, so you can have them at her door within a day or two.
If all else fails and you’re down to the wire, stop by your local stationery store or drugstore and select a dozen cards for different occasions – birthdays, holidays, thank you cards etc., and wrap them in a pretty ribbon. Trust me, she will thank you later.
