We at SheBrand have been longtime fans of The Coveteur – you know, the super chic site exploring the homes, closets and lifestyles of today’s tastemakers. With an emphasis on highly personalized curation, The Coveteur goes one step further in examining the creative process, inspiration and influence of the individuals who are defining the zeitgeist of our times.
So imagine our delight when we got the call that The Coveteur wanted to do a photo shoot and interview at home with SheBrand Founder, Liz Dennery Sanders. So what do you do when The Coveteur comes knocking? Why you order the champagne and flowers, of course, and you clean your house!
With a little help from our lovely friends, Molly Schoneveld and Kelsey Hertel at SW PR Shop, we booked the fabulous Tara Dowburd of Makeup Therapy to handle Liz’s hair and makeup, scheduled grooming appointments for the Shit Pickles (Lola and Henry wanted to look their best for The Coveteur, too!) and put the Veuve Clicquot on ice.
As soon as Senior Editor, Meagan Wilson and The Coveteur Co-Founder, Jake Rosenberg, arrived, they made a beeline for Liz’s custom designed closet. The Shit Pickles trailed closely behind, followed by Liz’s two year old son, Jack who wanted to style “Mama” himself. After a looooooong time in said closet, the team got down to work – pulling looks, styling still-life’s and taking pics inside and in the garden of Liz’s 1925 Spanish Colonial Revival home in Los Angeles.
Everyone had a blast – watching Jack pull stilettos for his mother to wear, Lola and Henry inserting themselves in every picture and the piéce de resistance, drinking champagne in the oversized tub for two in the marble-swathed master bathroom. The end result: we’d happily spend an afternoon with The Coveteur anytime!
