Driven, curious, happy.

Oh, wow. Ok – I’m awesome because…I followed my dreams and created the life I always dreamed of. I get to do what I love and am surrounded by the most fantastic people.
3. What are your three biggest indulgences?
Shoes. Massages. Anything at Sant Ambroeus.
4. What’s currently your favorite…
Restaurant: WAY too many great ones to choose an absolute favorite.
Food: I adore seafood.
Cocktail: A bellini at brunch is a current fave.
Shopping destination/store: Besides my own, Barneys just gets me.
Fashion item: Shoes – the taller the better.
Place to hangout: Any tropical beach.
City: There’s no place in the world like New York City.
Travel item: A cashmere wrap for snuggling on the plane.
Beauty product: Mascara. Or lip gloss. I’d like to choose both.
Skincare product: June Jacobs’ Pumpkin Enzyme Mask – deliciously exfoliating.
Hostess gift: A chic candle is always appropriate but I like to tailor the gift to the event or the individual hostess. I once gave a leather bound edition of a friend’s favorite book and inscribed the inside with a special message. That one was a hit, for sure. With enough notice, I give something monogrammed.

Lack of imagination.

My late Aunt Kathy. I miss her everyday.
8. What does it mean to you to have a strong, engaging brand and how has having one helped you?
I’m so fortunate to be able to reach so many women – through my many makeovers, my work on television and through the staff in my salons, spas and boutiques. I’ve worked hard to create a business that engages and empowers women through personal style. While some may think beauty and fashion is frivolous, I believe our outer selves can be a reflection of who we are on the inside. When we look our best, we feel our best and there’s lots of power in that. For as many times as I’ve taught someone how to choose the right shade of foundation or how to dress for their shape, they’ve taught me about life, love and determination through their personal stories and challenges. The makeovers I’ve done have been transformative for both the client and for me.

Determine what it is you want out of life then work like hell to make it happen.
