In 2012, Catherine published her first book, Weelicious: One Family. One Meal. Starting out as an inspirational feeding guide, Catherine cleverly weaves together first-hand experiences with factual evidence, and then naturally progresses into 140 of her own can-do “easy, fresh, and fun” recipes. Her second book, Weelicious Lunches: Think Outside the Lunchbox published September 2013. With more than 160 recipes for extraordinary meals, Catherine acknowledges the redundant nature of creating lunches for children and she provides a variety of realistic solutions to help think outside the box, and beyond the standard PB&J.

What are three words that best describe you?
Happy, dedicated and tall.
Tell us why you’re awesome in two sentences or less.
Yikes, no pressure?! I hope I’m awesome because I love being a mother and someday my kids will tell me that I did a good enough job. The bonus of my passion for fresh food and feeding has been the ability to mesh my work with all aspects of my daily family life.
What are your biggest indulgences?
Pedicures and ice cream.

What’s the ONE thing you absolutely can’t live without?
Besides my family, my computer. It’s where I write everyday.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Over garnished food. If you can’t eat it, leave it off the plate.
If you could have dinner with anyone (living or not) who would it be?
My husband. We always have good food and great fun.
What does it mean to you to have a strong, engaging brand and how has having one helped you?
It takes a village! After a few years of working 7 day weeks I needed additional support in order for the brand to grow. I’m blessed to have such an engaged audience. Food and feeding families is a 7 day a week, 3 meal job for most parents and caregivers, so the work never stops.
What is your #1 tip for fellow women entrepreneurs?
Find something you’re really passionate about. Start small and grow your business from the ground up. Keep your focus narrow at first, nurturing it over time so that it will grow.. grow.. grow!
