1. What are three words that best describe you?

Ambitious, Creative and Sassy!

2. Tell us why you’re awesome in two sentences or less?

I have an enormous amount of positive energy that flows into everything I do. It may sound cliché, but always looking at the bright side really does change your perspective and your life.

3. What are your three biggest indulgences?

  1. Beauty creams and lotion – you only have one face and one chance to take care of your skin. No amount is too much to take care of it.
  2. Massages – stress is the root of all-evil in my opinion. Being on the computer all day can definitely take its toll and put stress on muscles and joints I never knew could feel so sore. Massages are an investment into my well-being.
  3. Shoes – The right shoes can pull any outfit together. While I love heels (the higher the better), I am currently a sandal addict. Sparkly, colorful and incredibly comfy all rolled into one!

4. What’s currently your favorite…

Restaurant: El Compadre. Flaming margaritas…enough said.

Shopping Destination: A local boutique called “Elizabeth Albert “that only carries Los Angeles based designs. The owner handpicks each piece and (to me) she has impeccable taste. As my husband can attest, I could spend way too much time and money in her store!

Hangout: The Grove. A perfect place to people watch!

City: Los Angeles. It’s home to me and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love it!

Food: There’s no contest for me on this one. It’s Mexican food or nothing. I’d eat it 24-7, much to the chagrin of my family who would love it if I’d branch out!

Cocktail: Vodka martini – dry with a blue cheese stuffed olive. Delish!

Book/Author: This is a tough one since I’m an avid reader. However, for pure fun it has to be James Patterson. Always a good read and quick escape!

Song/Artist: My current favorite is Sara Bareilles – “Brave.” With lines like “Say what you want to say and let the words fall out honestly. I want to see you be brave. Show me – how big your brave can be,” I can’t help but smile each time I listen to it. She epitomizes a woman who lives fiercely.

Website: Makeuseof.com – I’m a sucker for geeky productivity, time-saving and techy tools, tips and apps.

Magazine: Lucky Magazine is my favorite guilty pleasure!

5. What is your biggest pet peeve?

I run on average 5 miles a day and take my dogs with me. Living in a very active community, I run into a lot of dogs and their owners. There is nothing more frustrating than a dog off leash, charging at both my dogs and me. Be courteous people. We all have to live and exist in the same space. Remember that just like people, not all dogs get along.

6. If you could have dinner with anyone (living or not) who would it be?

Lucille Ball. She was funny, witty, strong and courageous. Four incredible qualities that I admire immensely. She proved that a resilient, hard-working and outspoken woman could succeed during a time when she could have easily succumbed to the stereotypical stay-at-home mom persona. Instead she chose to be what we now all know as the “working mom.” She and so many other women paved the way for all that women continue to achieve today. The opportunity to sit down and laugh with her would be a night to remember!

7. Why is having a powerful personal brand important to you?

Whether you are an intrapreneur or an entrepreneur, we all have a personal brand. Like it or not, people are making perceptions about yours right now. This makes it imperative to own your personal brand and embrace all the delicious goodness that makes you so wonderfully YOU!

8. What is your #1 tip for fellow women entrepreneurs?

Stop waiting. Stop waiting to start your business, change your business, grow your business. There will never be a better time than right now to do exactly what you were put on earth to do. We often get caught in the “busyness” of our lives and push off the hard stuff. The stuff we know will escalate our business and elevate our personal brand. Maybe it’s because it’s scary or maybe it’s just because we don’t know what the next step should be. Whatever is holding you back let it go and just get going. As my business coach always reminds me, you will never look back from your deathbed and say – boy am I glad I played it safe. You will celebrate the moments you stretched yourself and the enormous opportunities that stemmed from them.

  1. Katherine Kotaw says

Any woman who lists Lucille Ball as an idol, calls herself an “avid reader” and who goes out in the world and makes things happen for herself is a definite superstar in my eyes. Congratulations to Rebekah Radice for this much-deserved honor!
