1. What are three words that best describe your personal brand?

Enthusiastic, Determined, Unceremonious

2. Tell us why you’re awesome in two sentences or less?

I’ve never met a crazy, seemingly-insurmountable goal that I wasn’t willing to pursue. Also, I don’t take myself too seriously.

3. What are your three biggest indulgences?

1) Snuggles with my baby girl (We snuggle a LOT!)

2) Food blogs (I love cooking challenges; my next one is baking croissants from scratch)

3) 6-week overseas vacations (I like to feel like I live there!)

4. What is your biggest pet peeve?

Making excuses about why something can’t be done. If you want to do something, just do it. If you don’t want to do something be honest about it instead of pretending there is some outside force stopping you.

5. If you could have dinner with anyone (living or not) who would it be and why?

I would have dinner with Martin Luther King, Jr.  I’d love to ask him at what point did he know that he had to take on the huge task of starting the civil rights movement and ending segregation, and how he kept going when the challenges seemed impossible to overcome.  I’d love to know what he was really thinking when he was alone with his thoughts and how he mentally prepared himself to lead such a movement.

I would also love to have dinner with Oprah and ask her what her best business advice is.

6. Why is having a powerful personal brand important to you?

It’s how the world recognizes who I am. We all want our true selves to be seen and to be acknowledged. My personal brand is how people know who I really am even if they’ve never met me.

7. What is your #1 marketing tip for fellow female entrepreneurs?

Be the original you. Be more you everyday. Do you want know why? Because being you is fascinating (and it sells)! Being a copy is so very boring (and also bad for business).
