1. What are three words that best describe your personal brand?
Approachable. Fun. Creative.
2. Tell us why you’re awesome in two sentences or less
I’ve been making web sites since I was 12 years old, I’ve run my own online business for more than two years and with that I’ve got a mad combination of tech, design, and marketing skills. I’m also a Taekwondo black belt, hot yogi, and I drink green juice.
3. What are your three biggest indulgences?
1) Massages
2) Reading romance novels
3) Eating durian fruit
4. What is your biggest pet peeve?
People who feed my dog junk food!
5. If you could have dinner with anyone (living or not) who would it be and why?
Steve Jobs, because then we could talk about how we both worked at apple orchards in our formative years and geek out over technology.
6. Why is having a powerful personal brand important to you?
If you’re going to be putting yourself out there for the world to see, you really ought to put your best self out there in a way that attracts your ideal customers and clients. I also think it’s just a lot more fun to put my personality into my brand.
7. What is your #1 marketing tip for fellow female entrepreneurs?
If you’re anything like me (creative, likes to revolutionize myself every few years, etc.) then I highly recommend branding as yourself. If you’re branding under a business name it’s hard to make the name evolve with you as you grow and change.
