1. What are three words that best describe your personal brand?

Hopeful, Non-Judgemental, Get-It-Done

2. Tell us why you’re awesome in two sentences or less.

I’m awesome because I have the patience, the get-it-done attitude, and know-how to help home-based women entrepreneurs declutter and whip their home business office, personal closets, & biz routines into streamlined shape, so they gain the skills and freedom to experience stepping fully into the dreams ahead of them…with oh-so-much-more confidence and ease.

3. What are your three biggest indulgences?

1) The outdoors

2) A slushy Dr. Pepper

3) Gummy Worms

4. What is your biggest pet peeve?

Store stickers left on storage containers.

5. If you could have dinner with anyone (living or not) who would it be and why?

Sandra Bullock.  I like that in her movies she makes snap decisions whether she is being funny or serious.  If her personality in movies is anything like her real-life attitude, then I think I’d really enjoy hanging out with her!  Plus, ever since seeing her bonfire scene with Betty White, in the movie “The Proposal”, I can never sit at our own bonfires without the hilarious dance and chant “To the windows…. To the walls….Sweat runs down my balls…” going through my head.  Totally cracked me up!  She’s branded me!  I’ve also learned that she has a restaurant in Austin, TX and travels to Louisiana.  We’re bound to cross paths one day.

6. Why is having a powerful personal brand important to you?

My brand represents my personality, as well as, the personality of the type of person I want to work with – inspired, will take action to get what they want, and has the ability to turn a seemingly tough task into a fun challenge by lightening up, instead of over thinking and overwhelming themselves.

7. What is your #1 marketing tip for fellow female entrepreneurs?

No matter who your marketing niche is, it is better to get it wrong and consistently speak to that one person, than to get it right and speak to everyone.

  1. Love it Melody. The movie, “The Proposal” totally cracked me up. Every time I see I wonder how many times they had to do that take because I imagine everyone was hysterically laughing. And yes, you are awesome!

    • That’s a great thing to ask Sandra Bullock when I meet her…how many times it took to do that scene.

      And thank you, Kimberly!

  2. Melody, you rock! 🙂 Loved reading this!

Okay, I think I need to see “The Proposal” again – or maybe I haven’t seen it at all! lol. I don’t remember the scene you referred to… 😉

I love Sandra Bullock, too! I read an article about her in Ali Magazine that made me love her even more – apparently she is quite the business woman – as well as the awesome actress! 🙂

    • Thanks Jess!  Yes, apparently Sandra Bullock is quiet the business woman, too!  You should definitely re-watch that movie.  Hope the scene isn’t spoiled for you now, lol.  I kept rewinding and watching that one scene.  Way too funny 😀
