SheBrand Superstar: Lorrie Thomas Ross

Every week we’ll be featuring a smart, savvy female entrepreneur we think is just great. These are women who are out there in the trenches each and every day, making things happen and affecting other people’s lives for the better. So pull up a comfy chair, grab a cup of coffee and meet this week’s SheBrand Superstar. We can all learn a golden nugget or two from each other.

Name: Lorrie Thomas Ross

1. What are three words that best describe your personal brand?

Fun, Sassy, Authentic

2. Tell us why you’re awesome in two sentences or less?

I know who I am, I know what I want (and I’m not afraid to go for it!!).  And I lead with love – passion in one’s profession is contagious and I love spreading it!

3. What are your three biggest indulgences?

1) Gummy candy (Haribo, the only way to play)

2) Snuggling in bed with my hubby and daughter

3) Shopping

4. What is your biggest pet peeve?

When people assume that emails they send me get read instantly.  I do not sit in front of my computer all day waiting for messages.  Email can be such a passive communication medium.

5. If you could have dinner with anyone (living or not) who would it be and why?

Audrey Hepburn. She is my ultimate role model – classy, authentic, charitable and stunning!

6. Why is having a powerful personal brand important to you?

You can have a job or you can have a career.  A personal brand boots business.  My brand work has taken my career to heights I never could have imagined.

7. What is your #1 marketing tip for fellow female entrepreneurs?

Invest in quality marketing, don’t just spend.  One of the designers at my agency likes to say that you “can’t make chicken salad with chicken s*^*”  I love that saying.  You can’t expect great things professionally if your marketing is crap.  Invest in marketing that matters and will last the life of your career.

  1. Lorrie is definitely a branding superstar…and much loved by many across the interwebz and IRL. 😉

  2. Bill Lampton, Ph.D. says

When I interviewed Lorrie on my radio show a few months ago, she was the ideal guest–highly informative, yet entertaining. I’d host her again anytime, and I have learned plenty from her terrific book. Watch my video review of her book–the first review you’ll find as you scroll down the Amazon page:

Lorrie Thomas Ross is such a She Brand Superstar. She re-branded me and gave me, (well I mean I paid for the advice of course) super focused marketing steps  to take, a new card, website, blog and a more giant footprint on the web.
I couldn’t be happier. It’s great to take advice from someone who lives it and breathes that kind of success and not just a pretender.
This She Ra of the Web is the real deal.

  4. Liz Dennery Sanders says

Lorrie is most definitely a Superstar with many, many Superpowers! Love seeing all the support here on the blog! 🙂
