1. What are three words that best describe you?

Alive. Passionate. Fearless.

2. Tell us why you’re awesome in two sentences or less?

I am awesome because at the age of 21, with zero examples of what it meant to be an entrepreneur, I woke up and started a business because I knew I had to. I am awesome because it succeeded beyond my wildest dreams (cliché but true).

  • Red wine
  • Social events with my bestie
  • Yoga

5. What is your biggest pet peeve?

Excuses. There’s no reason why you have to let anything stop you from doing what you want, having what you want, being who you want, etc. Wake up, get clear and go after it. Your life is worth living to the fullest degree possible.

6. If you could have dinner with anyone (living or not) who would it be?

Oprah 🙂 And Albert Einstein. Perhaps together.

7. What does it mean to you to have a strong, engaging brand and how has having one helped you?

I’ve never been very good at being strategic about my “strong, engaging brand”…
Here’s what I do: I wake up every day and I let my interests lead me. And, I share the interesting bits that I find along the way with my audience.

I am naturally a people person and I thrive off of other people’s energy. For me, all of the things I do in my business have to feel like something I would do on the  weekend – when I’m chilling out with my bestie or my husband and daughter. So, I often choose to treat everything as though I’m simply connecting with good friends over a nice glass of red wine.

However, staying on a relatively similar path and being clear about who I am, who I serve and what I’m about has helped me to help others. Clarity is key.

8. What is your #1 tip for fellow women entrepreneurs?

Start. What are you waiting for? The world needs more women that are exactly like you. We need more women running businesses and leading countries. So, start. Walk away from this article right now and take action on something that will make your heart sing or that will set your passion on fire. Feel alive. Be. Do. Start.
