1. What are three words that best describe your personal brand?
Creative, Detail-Oriented, Reliable
2. Tell us why you’re awesome in two sentences or less?
I will always go above and beyond to get the job done. I treat every project as if my name is written all over it. I treat every business I work with as if it were my own.
3. What are your three biggest indulgences?
1) Sunday afternoon naps
2) Scary movies – although not enough people share this indulgence as I rarely find anyone to watch them with me!
3) Pear martinis
4. What is your biggest pet peeve?
When people don’t hold themselves accountable, if you say you are going to do something, do it and do it right!
5. If you could have dinner with anyone (living or not) who would it be and why?
I would love to be able to have dinner with both of my grandfathers who passed away before I was able to get to know them. Both fathered over five children and worked incredibly hard to support their families. I would love to learn the life lessons they would have to share both personally and professionally. Something I believe the three of us would have in common is an incredible work ethic and would love to know their perspective of me, a 28 year old, unmarried woman owning my own business in 2012.
6. Why is having a powerful personal brand important to you?
A personal brand is important to me because it is the rawest version of who you are and what you do. When you strip away the pretty logo, fancy website and achievement awards, it is just you, and you better be clear on who you are and what value you can bring.
7. What is your #1 marketing tip for fellow female entrepreneurs?
Delegate! Do not waste time on projects someone else can do better and faster. Spend your time working on the tasks only you can do. If you want to grow your business, you have to delegate and expand your team. What could you accomplish with an additional five to ten hours week?
