1. What are three words that best describe your personal brand?

Genuine, Passionate, Empowering

2. Tell us why you’re awesome in two sentences or less?

My mission is to ignite women to dream and do big, while creating positive change in the world.

3. What are your three biggest indulgences?

1) Shopping at Whole Foods

2) Wine country vacations

3) Deep tissue massages

4. What is your biggest pet peeve?

When people just take and don’t reciprocate.

5. If you could have dinner with anyone (living or not) who would it be and why?

Oprah is # 1 because she is self-made and built a tremendous empire based on her personal values and instincts.

Richard Branson is # 2. I have read both his books Losing My Virginity & Screw Business As Usual. I admire his relentless perseverance and big picture thinking in building Virgin Group, and his focus now on championing social entrepreneurship to solve our world’s problems.

6. Why is having a powerful personal brand important to you?

Recently I launched as a new kind of website and voice for women that features over 100 exclusive interviews with women leaders and visionaries (from Christy Turlington to Zainab Salbi)…as well as empowering causes and events that we believe women should know about. My personal brand is literally my business brand, and like any business – developing a powerful brand that’s clear in its mission and values is very important to me.

7. What is your #1 marketing tip for fellow female entrepreneurs?

Everything you do is marketing, such as managing your team, dinner with friends, shopping for everyday necessities, books/magazines you choose to read, TV programs you watch etc. These are all opportunities for you to market your business and think about how you can relate or draw inspiration, ideas or research for your business.
