And don’t get me started on New Year’s resolutions. I’m not a big fan of writing out a long list of resolutions in December, only to feel deflated by the end of January when most of them have fallen victim to more pressing matters.
Did you know that most people write out the exact same resolutions every year for at least a decade and never accomplish them? Whew, talk about a downer.
Well, there is another way. In fact, a much better way to feel good, get things done and reach your goals this year.
Here’s the secret equation:
CLARITY + INTENTION + DAILY ACTION = MASSIVE RESULTS
I have found that gaining clarity around my highest values, creating a life vision of exactly what I want my life to look like, and then taking small action steps every day propels me forward in a very positive way.
Writing out a life vision puts your dreams and desires into concrete terms. An old proverb says, “If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there.” Every flight needs a flight plan and a destination.
So I’m going to give you the tools to create your own map for 2015.
The first worksheet is a series of seven questions to help you define what you’re most passionate about and your top three values. You will then identify one positive change you would like to make for each of these values and create action steps to get you there.
The second worksheet is a prompt for your One Year Life Vision. This is where the rubber meets the road. A well thought out life vision turns your desire for success into an intention. Once you have the clear intention, providence moves and you will find doors opening in unexpected places that lead to fulfillment. Stretch yourself out of your comfort zone and put your ideal scene for 2015 on paper.
Here are your two SheBrand New Year’s worksheets:
7 QUESTIONS FOR A HAPPIER LIFE IN 2015
I promise you that if you take the time to thoughtfully complete these two worksheets you’ll not only have a much clearer picture of what you’d like to accomplish this year, but a detailed road map to get you there.
Wishing you a mind-blowing, kick-ass, super happy + healthy 2015. Enjoy the worksheets. Please use them and watch the magic happen.
I leave you with one of our very favorite quotes here at SheBrand:
“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.” – W.H. Murray
